Good memories. This photo won the prize for a competition with the Tourist Office in Normandy back in 2008. It shows the town of Andélys on the Seine River. This photo was taken from the ramparts of Chateau Gaillard. The place is famous for the successful siege of the castle in 1204 by the king of France which proved to be a watershed in the Capetian conquest of Normandy.
